Converting to Orthodoxy

These classes are specifically designed to prepare those who wish to become Orthodox Christians. It aims to introduce you to the basics of the Orthodox Christian Faith and way of life.

If you are 18 or older and have never been baptised, this 2 month Catechism Course will prepare you. Once you have completed the course - and if you wish to go the next step - you may make arrangements at your local Greek Orthodox Parish to be received into the Church through the Sacraments of Holy Baptism and Chrismation.

If you have already been baptised in a Christian denomination which the Orthodox Church acknowledges (e.g. Roman Catholic, Anglican, Uniting, etc.) but you now prefer to become an Orthodox Christian, this Catechism Course will also prepare you. At the completion of the course - and if you wish to go the next step - you may make arrangements to be received into the Church through the Sacrament of Holy Chrismation (or Confirmation).
