What to Expect

Welcome to the Greek Orthodox Parish of Saint Haralambos, Templestowe. The Divine Liturgy is held every Sunday morning 8am - 11.00am. Saint Haralambos Parish is under the Spiritual and Ecclesiastical leadership of His Eminence Archbishop Makarios of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia, within the jurisdiction of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople.

Our Parish Priests are the Very Rev. Fr. Elias Kentrotis and Fr. Meneloas. Sunday School is commenced immediately after Holy Communion and all are welcome in the lower hall for Family Hour with tea, coffee and light refreshments.

Orthodox Christians are invited to approach and receive Holy Communion if they are properly prepared. If you are not an Orthodox Christian, please do not approach the chalice during the distribution of Holy Communion. Learn More…

 Parking

Saint Haralambos Parish is located on the corner of Porter Street and Church Rd, Templestowe. We have a large parking lot surrounding our church. Disabled parking is available to the right of the church building. Designated street parking is available all year round. Extra parking at Templestowe Park Primary School is available for Greek Easter services and for St Haralambos Feast day.

 Holy Communion

Orthodox Christians are invited to receive Holy Communion if they are properly prepared and have received a blessing from their spiritual father. Please allow godparents and parents to bring newly baptised children first. The Church Sunday school students and their teachers should follow them. All others who are prepared to do so may then approach the Holy Chalice. The cloth held by the priest and the altar servers is there to prevent any particles of the gifts from falling onto the floor.  Sunday School

Sunday School lessons accommodates children aged 3-16years.  Children should go to the Lower Church Hall immediately after Holy Communion. At the beginning of Sunday school, children are currently learning the St Haralambos Apolytikon in Greek and English (words provided). All welcome to attend!
All children are encouraged to bring an icon for the procession around the church on the Sunday of Orthodoxy. Learn More…

Our Parish Bookstore is open every Sunday following the liturgy. We have a substantial range of English language books for children and adults, including a selection of books in Greek. Learn More..

Coffee & Conversation - All welcome!

Our Parish hold a very wide range of social gatherings throughout the year. On a weekly basis, coffee and tea is offered in the Lower Hall every Sunday following the liturgy. Please join us - it is a great way to meet new families and friends.
