COMMITTEE COUNCIL

The Parish Council is a vehicle for implementing the ongoing mission of the Church and planning the necessary strategies, policies, procedures, and activities that enable the Parish to move forward in accomplishing God’s work.

Parish Council members serve as role models for their fellow Parishioners. They lead by example by attending Church and Parish events and regularly participate in the Sacramental life of the Church.

A member of the Parish Council is elected to serve a special ministry that is a pure expression of love, loyalty, and dedication to Christ and His Church.

The Parishioner elected to serve on the Parish Council assumes three basic responsibilities: a) to understand, live by, and uphold the tenets, teachings, and traditions of the Greek Orthodox Church; b) to understand and abide by the Charter and Regulations of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia; and c) to live by and uphold the oath of office by utilising his or her God-given time, talents, and treasures for the Spiritual progress and advancement of the Parish.

Parish Council

The economical, building, maintenance and day to day upkeep of our Church are managed by a dedicated committee of Parish members, who have been invited or elected to become part of the council. Members of the council participate in meetings and undertake various works in the organising, planning and delivery of various projects required for the Parish. All members of the committee are approved by our Reverend Father Elias and relevant council leaders.
